This week has been really good. Our first speaker, Dudley Weiner, got here on Friday evening. We went to Life Connection beach on Saturday. We rented a bus and fit stuffed all 80-ish of us on it. I stood the 3 hours it took to get up there through getting stopped by the police, having to pull over to put water in something under the hood. Some of the staff from St. Marc – Sarah, Anne, Joe, Owen, Claudy, Mystere, Alix, and Craig who was visiting St. Marc – came to join us. It was really good because Anne is at the end of her two-year commitment, and while I got to see her a couple weekends ago, I was very happy to get to see her one more time. It was a very relaxing day. Valter came and did some amazing BBQ. Some people bought crabs and lobsters and he grilled those as well. Chimene bought a lobster to try, but she didn’t like it, so she shared it with some of us. Joe bought a crab and shared it with Sarah, Craig and I. I had never eaten crab before like straight from the crab. I played some volleyball, which was really fun. Dudley spoke for a little bit before we ate. Some of the students got baptized. after we ate. I got dropped off at Mais Gate with some other people to stay the rest of the weekend there. I got to do laundry, relax, go to church and visit my friends at New Life. And we were really blessed with good tap tap rides back home.

The Holy Spirit has been really moving this week. People have been getting set free from things. We’ve had some really awesome times of praise and worship. Actually I have also been set free from some things I have carried for years. I got the spirit of joy last night and couldn’t stop laughing. Like literally falling on the floor laughing. I went to tell someone that I had freedom and she didn’t know what was going on, but I just started laughing again. This actually happened several times. Then I was asked to share with the class a little bit, and what I was sharing was not fun or pretty, it was actually really sad, but I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing. It’s carried over into today, just being really joyful and laughing randomly. Several people have even told me they can see the joy I have on my face and feel the freedom I have, even a few that haven’t known me very long have noticed a huge change. I feel so much lighter and just free! Free to be myself – the real Leah who God created me to be. It’s so good to be able to give the freedom away to others as soon as I have received it and help other people get free. I don’t feel like now is the right to tell all the details of what I was freed from, but if anyone has specific questions, please feel free to email me.

About leahgduncan

I'm just a woman that wants to serve Jesus Christ with her whole life. I want to live with my hands wide open to Him, letting him fill my hands and take things away as He pleases. I currently live in Port au Prince, Haiti, working with an international missions organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I love Haiti and know that I will be attached to Haiti for the rest of my life. At this time I don't know if that means I'll always live here, but I know I'll always come back here.
