This has been an interesting week. We interviewed about 35 families for the housing project, picked 10 and sent them off to Peterson who was in Hawaii at a worship conference at the Kona base.

Julia, David and I went to Belville on Saturday to stay the night there, We went out to eat at a restaurant Justin and Karli went to several times before they left. The food was good, the music was loud and the electricity went off for about 20 seconds in the middle of our meal. It made me laugh. In the western world, people kind of freak out when things like that happen. We all just continued eating and then things carried on when it came back on. I love this life! We went to a church on Sunday that I’d never been to. It’s called Port au Prince Fellowship. It is pastored by an American, there is a mix of Haitians and Americans that go there. They have an awesome praise team that blessed me so much! Pastor John preached an encouraging sermon about packing light in your life journey. We went to EpiD’or for lunch. Julia and Dani got ice cream that they shared with us. Weird, but I was actually too full to get my own.

Our first team since being back arrived that afternoon. It’s been a busy week since then. Work out at the housing land has been done, cleaning Lucy and Peterson’s house as well as our house, among other things. Today I took Genese to the market and picked up Lucy, Peterson, Tabby and Jude. Tabby is so big and so cute!!! It was so good to see Lucy, Peterson and Jude as well! I have missed all of them.

This weekend, I am hoping to get to go to St Marc. Sunday is my friend, Sarah’s birthday and I want to see her and the teachers that are winding down their school year and will soon be leaving, and other people on staff.

Please keep us in prayer as we continue work at Titanyen on the houses next week with a new team, for other ministries we are doing, and preparations for the DTS.

Much love from Haiti,

About leahgduncan

I'm just a woman that wants to serve Jesus Christ with her whole life. I want to live with my hands wide open to Him, letting him fill my hands and take things away as He pleases. I currently live in Port au Prince, Haiti, working with an international missions organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I love Haiti and know that I will be attached to Haiti for the rest of my life. At this time I don't know if that means I'll always live here, but I know I'll always come back here.
